Frequently Asked Questions
This page answers some of the more common questions our members have
regarding our free banner exchange.
What types of banners can I use?
Currently, we are only accepting 468x60 standard banners. Banners must
be in .gif, or .jpg format. Animated .gifs are accepted, but all banners are
restricted in size to less than 10k.
I don't have a banner, where can I get one?
You can create your own banners if you wish using your graphics program.
They should be 468 pixels wide and 60 pixels high and be saved in .gif or .jpg
format. We use Paint Shop Pro for our banner creation.
There are many companies you can find by searching the web that will
make banners for you, some even for free. Just search the web for "banner
design" or "free banner design."
Finally, we will create a custom banner for you for a reasonable fee.

Why is My Account "Awaiting Administrator Approval?"
When you first join the banner exchange, your site will be inactive
until your site has been reviewed and accepted. Also, every time you upload a
banner your site will be inactive until the new banner has been approved.
Typically your site should be reviewed with in 2-3 working days. You will be
notified by email when your site is accepted.
You can still earn credits by showing banners on your site when your
account is inactive and credits will continue to accumulate until your banner
is approved for display in our network.
Why is My Site Suspended?
If your account's clickthru rate falls to low, your site will be
suspended. You will not earn credits for the banners you display. Chances are
you are displaying banners in a spot on your page that is easily ignored, like
at the bottom of a page with several other banners. Improve your clickthru
ratio by giving our banners better placement on your site, and we will update
your exchange rate during the next update.
Why was My Site Deleted?
Your site may have been deleted for a number of reasons. All credits and
bonuses earned will be lost if your site is deleted.
We only accept PG-rated sites. If your site is found to contain
inappropriate
material or you are believed to be breaking any of
our rules your site will
be deleted without notice.
If you do not display any banners for two consecutive review periods (60
days or more), your site may be deleted. You may re-apply for membership if
your site is deleted for inactivity.
We may have had a technical glitch. We strive to maintain a stable
exchange, but sometimes bad things happen and members may get deleted by
accident. If your site has been deleted, and you do not believe it was for one
of the above reasons, you should re-apply for a new account (you can use the
same account name if it hasn't been taken since you were deleted), and
contact us with your new account name and your
old account name. We give you 1000 free credits for your trouble. |
